Research

Valentin Leloup, R&D engineer at Thales, combines two fields of expertise: quantum physics and space. He holds an engineering degree from ISAE-SUPAERO 2022 and a Master 2 in fundamental physics and applications.

Institute

The Institute has been awarded the label "Développement Durable et Responsabilité Sociétale" (DD&RS), official recognition of its environmental and societal strategy. By obtaining this label, our school confirms its determination to make the ecological and social transition a lever for innovation in training, the transformation of industrial sectors and the evolution of practices in everyday life on campus.

Krishna Murali and Elena Ponce Moreno are second-year students in the Master of Aerospace Engineering programme at ISAE-SUPAERO. They are conducting research on the Mavion, a drone developed at the Institute that takes off vertically and can then fly like an aeroplane.

Research

The French high-tech group supports the Institute through a research chair. The prize: a thesis on an integrated approach to air transport and eleven scholarships of excellence to support high-achieving European students.

Company

The Labège-based company, with which ISAE-SUPAERO has a close relationship, welcomed Sébastien Lecornu as part of an order for 150 drones for the Ukrainian theatre of operations.

For the second consecutive year, ISAE-SUPAERO has been awarded the Happy At School label, given to schools offering the best student experience.

Ranking joint 7th in the DAUR rankings, ISAE-SUPAERO has moved up two places since last year. DAUR, an independent platform, publishes annual rankings of 185 French engineering schools based on relevant criteria and using a robust methodology.

Research

Seven ISAE-SUPAERO students have been selected to join the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS) in the United States. This replica of a Martian base will host the crew for four weeks, during which they will live in conditions similar to those found on Mars. The objective is to conduct experiments in situ in collaboration with research partners.

On Saturday, January 17th, ISAE-SUPAERO hosted the 7th edition of Entretiens de l’Excellence on its campus. Organised by the association of the same name, this event aims to help young people from modest or rural backgrounds build their future by realising their dreams.

Research

For four weeks, seven engineering students will experience a simulation of life on Mars in the Utah desert in the United States. From 18th February to 16th March, they will conduct experiments in collaboration with CNES and several research laboratories at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS).
