A professor specialising in propulsion and the former head of the Aerodynamics, Energetics and Propulsion Department, he has been supporting the growing role of hydrogen in the Institute’s teaching and research activities for several years.

The official award ceremony will take place during the European Conference on Aviation Psychology (EAAP) in The Hague in September 2026.

An ISAE-SUPAERO PhD student has been awarded the ONERA 2026 PhD Student PrizeLucie Schwoebel, a third-year doctoral student at ISAE-SUPAERO working on a thesis co-funded by ONERA, has been awarded the 2026 Doctoral Student Prize in the field of Fluid Mechanics and Energy. This award recognizes the excellence of her research on the acoustics of sound-absorbing materials used in aeronautics.

Space Explorers: In a Desert, Six Students Simulate Life on MarsLast spring, for four weeks, six students and one alumnus from ISAE-SUPAERO lived completely self-sufficiently at the Mars Desert Research Station (MDRS). This base, located in the Utah Desert in the United States, is specifically designed to simulate living conditions on Mars.
