Life in France, in Toulouse, on campus

Admired abroad, France is a multicultural country with a rich history and strong culture, and is one of the founders of the European Union. In addition, Toulouse is the European Capital of Aeronautics and Space! What a strong combo!

Why France ?

For accessibility

In France you can have access to a lot of big cities in Europe and travel easily!

With 9 bordering countries, France is the essential crossroads of the old continent: the 2nd largest airport in Europe and 6th largest in the world for Paris Charles-de-Gaulle, the densest motorway network in the world, the TGV (High Speed Train) to the main French and European cities (London, Amsterdam, Geneva, etc). Being in the heart of Europe also allows you to travel within the 22 countries of the Schengen Area with a single visa, using the Euro, the single currency of 16 countries!

For heritage and gastronomy

Because the architectural and historical heritage is simply fantastic. Everywhere you go you discover the remains of a more or less distant past. France has a deep and old soul which is revealed in its buildings, its museums, its culture.

In terms of gastronomy, it is difficult to ignore the finesse of the products, the good taste of the land, all the possible and unimaginable French recipes. It is not for nothing that the whole world refers to us as fine gastronomes and that the greatest international chefs are French.

For student status

Culture, travel, health or accommodation: in France, student status offers many advantages and significant discounts.

Life in Toulouse

ISAE-SUPAERO is a good choice because it is in Toulouse!

Regularly cited as one of the most pleasant cities in France, Toulouse has many assets: ideally located between the sea and the mountains, it is the French leader in aeronautics and offers a high quality of life with an attractive cost of living, a host of cultural activities and a developed tech environment.

Toulouse, the French capital of aeronautics, has an interesting tech environment, notably thanks to the French Tech label. Many of the city’s largest companies are world leaders in their fields and partners of ISAE-SUPAERO: Airbus, Thalès, Safran, Dassault, etc. The employment area is therefore full of opportunities.

“Toulouse is just a couple of hours away from the Pyrénées and a couple of hours away from the Méditérranée, in the winter you can ski and in the summer you can go to the beach” - Mohamed

On the Mediterranean side, the warm sandy beaches of Narbonne, Béziers or Perpignan are less than 2 hours away. And for the Atlantic, a 3-hour drive is enough to reach the Basque coast (Biarritz, Hossegor, Saint-Jean-de-Luz).

For the mountains, the ski resorts of the Pyrenées: the domains of Mourtis, Ax 3 and Saint-Lary are easily accessible by car and even by train! In the summer, the surrounding natural parks are ideal for hiking, mountain biking and paragliding. It’s hardly possible to get bored in the area!
