Corporate sponsorship allows the creation of teaching and/or research chairs with the Institute, along with programs of excellence. The generosity of individuals mainly contributes to the projects of students, doctoral students and lecturer-researchers around 5 support areas: Research and teaching Entrepreneurship The Institute’s international outreach Innovative teaching Diversity and social openness through the OSE l’ISAE-SUPAERO social outreach program. T With a collection of nearly €425 k from individuals and more than €2.3 M from companies, the year 2022 testifies to the continued commitment of donors as well as that of patrons who support the chairs and programs of ISAE-SUPAERO. In 2022, a new long-term prize and donorswho confirm their commitment A new award in honor of Jean Pierson It is inhomage to JeanPierson, emblematic figureof theaerospacesector andalumnus (S 1963), that the ISAE-SUPAEROFoundationhas created theeponymousprize, under the impetus and thanks to thedonationsof friends, former colleaguesand familymembers, andwith the support of companies inwhichheworkedwith panache, including Airbus. Launched in2022 andworth€20,000, thisprizewill beawarded eachyear toastudentwhohasdemonstrated special leadershipskills. Anne-AliceFaure, anew graduateof ISAE-SUPAERO’sSpecializedMaster’s degree in“Management of InnovativeProjectsand Entrepreneurship” (MGPIE), is the first recipient of the JeanPiersonPrize. 90 alumni on campus for a Class Gift meeting OnDecember 9, 2022,more than90alumni and nearly 70students attended the events organized as part of theClassGiftmeeting that brought together the classes of 1982, 1992, 2002 and2022 around theDéfi Mermoz project. Jean-MarcMoschetta, professor of aerodynamics at ISAE-SUPAERO, presented this project to cross theAtlantic in the footsteps of theAéropostale pioneerswith a hydrogen droneweighing less than 25 kg. Following this presentation, a round-tablediscussion was held, organizedby alumni of theClassGift classes anddedicated to collective intelligence for the energy transition. It attractedmore than 170participants (alumni/students/staff) and allowed the visit of Guillaume Faury (CEOof Airbus andS 1992). — 2022 highlights 57 grants and prizes awarded (not including Chair grants) of which: 15 grants for participation in or organization of international conferences 11 grants for extracurricular projects 11 international research exchange fellowships 4 entrepreneurship startup grants awarded thanks to the support of major donor Jean Lucien Lamy 7 excellence grants for the overseas mobility of students in the engineering program, including 4 awarded thanks to the support of major donor Jean Lucien Lamy 2 grants for two foreign National Master’s degree students 2 scholarships for the hosting of two foreign students in engineering studies 4 thesis prizes 1 Jean Pierson prize ISAE-SUPAERO ANNUAL REPORT 2022
