32 Innovation / Highlights InnovSpace the place to turn an idea into a project Learning to undertake In addition to being a place for creativity, InnovSpace also became, in 2022, a preincubation place for ISAE-SUPAERO startups, in order to support the growing demand in the field of entrepreneurship. 21 projects are currently supported. • 5 startups created, including one initiated by lecturer-researchers • 5 startups under development, three of which were initiated by lecturer-researchers • 5 tutored projects (supervised by lecturers) • 6 student projects that could lead to company creation Closed in 2020 due to the COVID epidemic, InnovSpace reopened in August 2022. Upon reopening, the fleet of digital andmechanical machine tools was enrichedwith new larger and faster 3D printers, alongwith augmented reality glasses, further developing the attractiveness of the place. The strong “Innovation” dynamic launchedwithin the Institute is illustrated by the awards obtained in 2022 by its projects, including: Pépite Écrin Award and EU Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) award for ELDA Graine d’ÉtoileGalaxie Award for HELIOSPHERE Tech TheMoon Awardwith pre-incubationwithin CNES for the Space Flight Institute, a project to create a space academy to address themarket for “commercial” astronauts, whichwill grow.
