The InnovSpace is the ISAE-SUPAERO fablab, entirely dedicated to innovation. With a surface area of 700 m², it is the place where an idea is transformed into a concrete project, then potentially into a company. ombined with a strong technical culture, a dynamic of innovation is an essential lever for dealing with the major contemporary challenges facing our societies, the first of which is global warming. The Development and Innovation Division (DDI) coordinates all of the actions carried out by the Institute’s various departments in order to establish innovation and entrepreneurship dynamics. Through its own actions, it contributes to the economic development of the ecosystems to which the Institute belongs. This steering is carried out by the Department of Innovation and Entrepreneurship, created in 2022 and headed by François du Cluzel. This department aims to develop an entrepreneurial mindset and skills among students and staff, and to encourage the creation of companies by members of the Institute’s community, particularly deeptech startups in the Aeronautics, Space and Defense sector. It participates in the innovation dynamics of the aeronautics industry and the Occitanie region by providing its stakeholders with access to knowledge (technology transfer), experts (experts, trainees) and access to research and testing equipment.
