ISAE-SUPAERO Foundation As a strategic partner of ISAE-SUPAERO, the Foundation participates in promoting the Institute internationally by accelerating innovative projects that contribute to a sustainable world through donations collected from corporate and individual patrons. Corporate sponsorship enables educational and/or research chairs to be created, along with excellence programmes. The generosity of individuals is mainly directed towards projects by students, PhD students, and professors working in these five areas: 2023 was a year of continued commitment from individual donors and sponsors who support ISAE-SUPAERO’s chairs and programmes. Key Figures 2023 Highlights 1 Research and education 2 Entrepreneurship 3 The Institute’s international influence 4 Innovative teaching 5 Diversity and social outreach through the OSE l’ISAE-SUPAERO social outreach programme €290K €2.4M 40 collected from individuals collected from businesses grants and prizes awarded (excluding grants awarded for chairs) TheDassault Systèmes Foundation, a newlycommitted sponsor, will be supporting two projects over several years: • actions in favour of greater gender diversity in the sector and equal opportunities through Campus au Féminin and the OSE inGÉ system, and • ALLXR, which involves creating a platform for learning, experimentation, and educational innovation for the benefit of ISAE-SUPAERO and ISAE Group universities. The Board of Directors meeting of December 5, 2023, approved the appointment of new board members and a new structure for a permanent team at the service of the governance: • Stéphane Albernhe (S1991) succeeds Philippe Forestier as Chairman, • Jacqueline Cohen-Bacrie (S1981) succeeds Jean-Louis Marcé in the position of Secretary that he has held since 2012, and • Arthur Séjor (S2009) succeeds Marc Pircher as Treasurer. A reorganisation was implemented with the creation of a management position. For this purpose, the workforce welcomed two newmembers to the Student Social Outreach (OSE) team and a new communications officer. The second consecutive Jean-Pierson Leadership Award has been awarded to Elena López-Contreras Gonzalez, a student in the ISAE-SUPAERO Ingénieur programme (MSc). The jury, consisting of the main donors to the award, was unanimous about this young engineer’s potential to establish herself as a leader and to help shape the future of the aerospace industry. The award was presented to her by Christian Scherer, Airbus Sales Director, who is also a sponsor of the award. The Dassault Systèmes Foundation, a New Sponsor A New Governance Second Jean-Pierson Award ISAE-SUPAERO ENSICA Alumni : A Committed Association, at the Service of the ISAE-SUPAERO Community Founded in 1911 and recognised as for its public utility, the alumni association brings together graduates from ISAE-SUPAERO and its founding schools. It is a structured network of more than 25,000 graduates in France and abroad. The association is a partner of ISAE-SUPAERO and the ISAE-SUPAERO Foundation. Its three primary missions are to manage the alumni network, carry out intergenerational solidarity actions, and help promote the network and the Institute. In 2023, the Association organised numerous student/alumni meetings, such as ‘SUPAERO a un incroyable talent’ (‘SUPAERO’s Got Talent‘). It supported students in organising events such as the SUPAERO Gala andAirExpo, as well as class reunions. Emergency funds helped students and alumni in financial difficulties. In one year, 2,000 job offers were published by the Association, of which almost one hundred were exclusive offers coming directly from alumni. The association also organised professional coaching sessions and monthly career workshops. IESF’s detailed annual report on the employment of engineers, in particular ISAE-SUPAEROgraduates, was relayed to our community. • The publication of books such as Toulouse, an Aerospace Decentralisation Success Story. The ISAE SUPAEROENSICA Engineering Community, a Key Factor in this Success, • the organisation of conferences and technical and cultural visits, such as those organised by the Marseille-Provence group on the occasion of its welcome day to the ISAE-SUPAERO 2023 promotion, • awards presented to students with remarkable track records, including theMayoux-Dauriac Prize, which Elena López-Contreras Gonzalez, Bastien Fabre, and Nicolas Bourliatoux won in 2023, • the promotion of the Institute’s education, research, and innovation activities. With a regularly updated directory, a collaborative website, regular social media presence, and a monthly and quarterly newsletter, the Association maintains the link between alumni, the Institute, and the Foundation.
