35 ISAE-SUPAERO • ANNUAL REPORT 2023 ISAE-SUPAERO • ANNUAL REPORT 2023 34 2023 was marked by the strengthening of European cooperation in the aviation and space industries; on one hand, there is the renewal of the UNIVERSEH European University project which seeks to develop multidisciplinary teaching and research in the space field, and on the other hand, there is the participation of ISAE-SUPAERO in the PEGASUS network which it now chairs. In addition, collaborations and discussions in Mexico, Canada, and Brazil have enabled partnerships to be initiated with universities, institutes of excellence, and aerospace research centres such asUniversidadNacionalAutonomaMéxico and Instituto Politécnico Nacional inMexico, McGill University and University of British Columbian Canada, and Escola Politécnica daUniversidade de São Paulo, Universidade Estadual de Campinas, Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, Instituto Militar de Engenharia, and Instituto Nacional de Pesquisas Espaciais-INPE in Brazil. Finally, participation in student mobility programmes withArgentina and Brazil was strengthened by the renewal of anARFITEC project and a BRAFITEC project in aeronautical and aerospace engineering and the introduction of a new BRAFITEC project on artificial intelligence in partnership with the Institut Polytechnique de Paris-IP Paris. Among them are four new partnerships (Reykjavik University, DTU, HUST Vietnam and ITB Indonesia). Double degree agreements (Poly Montreal, Poli Milano, University of Michigan) as well as non-degree agreements (QUT, IISc Bangalore, ICL, Tohoku University) were also renewed. 17 Partnership Agreements Signed Key Figures international students representing nationalities on campus mobility opportunities in 2023, including financed by the Erasmus programme continents partner universities in International Relations ISAE-SUPAERO Takes Over PEGASUS Chairmanship PEGASUS is the association that brings together the best European aerospace universities. It is a network of exchanges concerning various training and research topics such as the skillset of an aerospace engineer, new teaching and research needs, and the place of universities in European networks. Emmanuel Zenou, Professor andHead of the International Relations Department at ISAE-SUPAERO, will chair the association for the next four years. Highlights of 2023 ISAE-SUPAERO Committed to the UNIVERSEHAlliance Project ISAE-SUPAERO is involved in the coordination of the UNIVERSEH European University project. In 2023, the alliance’s activities were marked by renewed funding from the European Commission for another four years (until 2027) and by two new partners joining the alliance: the University of Namur and Tor Vergata University of Rome. More directly, ISAE-SUPAERO students and staff were able to benefit from the many initiatives offered by consortium members: Staff Week, Winter and Summer School, interdisciplinary courses, hackathons, conferences, and more.
