ISAE-SUPAERO Officially Becomes an Incubator The 9 Startups Supported in 2023 At ISAE-SUPAERO, 2023 marked an acceleration in the development of entrepreneurial activity. In addition to its role as a Fab Lab, InnovSpace became an incubator for the Institute’s first entrepreneurial projects in 2023. It is already home to nine startups from academic and research projects. At the same time, a comprehensive process for supporting entrepreneurial projects has been defined. ISAE-SUPAERO is now able to support project owners fromA to Z in the maturation and development of their innovative project by providing assistance in market research, technical feasibility studies, financial engineering, communication, marketing strategy development, legal aid, etc. A label has also been created to unite startups created by ISAE-SUPAERO students or alumni around a common identity of excellence. EMBRYA is developing an on-board neural network. TACITA Dynamics is developing a physical vibration control system that uses non-linear dynamic phenomena to perform vibration damping and energy recovery. VIRAJ H2 is developing a powertrain with a hybrid fuel cell and turboprop wi th heat and s team recovery. The Lopez-Loreta Foundation’s grant (read p. 32) will give it themeans tomove from a low-power prototype phase into a structured research and development phase with three partner laboratories. ELDA Technology i s developing a data processing platformfor snowcover tracking to enable streamlined artificial snow production. SNAPACCESS is developing a software serv i ce for manag i ng remote l y connected key boxes. ALPHA Impulsion is developing an autophagic rocket. The ten-member strong team successfully completed initial ground testing at the end of 2023. The development continues with active and increasing support from CNES. The ‘We spark the future – by ISAE-SUPAERO’ labelwas created in 2023. What is its purpose? To create an identity and unify all companies founded by ISAE-SUPAERO's alumni, students, and staff. It also refers to the Institute’s values of excellence and passion. This label is officially awarded to each company from ISAE-SUPAERO that compl ies with the impact / aviation / space / defence deep-tech criteria. The Occitanie Pyrénées Méditerranée incubator network, or RESO IP+, is a community of structures intended to support and host project developers and young companies with innovative and/or high development potential linked to the Occitanie Region. Through this membership, the Institute now has special access to all RESO IP+ events, sharing of best practices and the community’s expertise in supporting start-ups. Membership of RESO IP+ also opens potential opportunities for public funding and gives ISAE-SUPAERO the power to prescribe honour loans for projects that are under incubation. The French Tech Mission is responsible for supporting the structuring and growth of the ecosystemof French startups, in France and abroad, with a vision of making France one of the most attractive countries in the world for startups that want to conquer international markets. It represents a network of thirteen French Tech capitals. ISAE-SUPAERO’s membership of the FrenchTech network in 2023 is a significant step forward that offers entrepreneurial project owners the opportunity to find openings and public financing for their products, to expand their networks and boost their own reputation and that of the Institute.
