PSI doctoral research team – Spatial Physics and Instrumental
The Spatial Physics and Instrumentation doctoral research group is affiliated with the doctoral school of Geosciences, Astrophysics and Space Science (SDU2E). The team includes researchers from ISAE-SUPAERO and ONERA.
The team includes researchers from ISAE-SUPAERO and ONERA. More specifically, the PSI team includes the Space Systems research group (SSPA) of the ISAE-SUPAERO Department of Electronics, Optronics, and Signal processing (DEOS) and the research unit, Space Environment Models and Measurements of the Space Environment Department (DESP) of ONERA.
In all, there are around ten researchers and ten doctoral students.
Research areas include :
- Study and development of space mission concepts (ex : Farside Explorer) and sensors for planetary seismology (ExoMars, Selene-2, InSight missions) ;
- Evaluation of the environmental conditions of space missions and prevention of potential damage.
Research is developed with support from CNES, in partnership with IPGP, IRAP and JPL (Caltech), for ESA and NASA.
