Today is asteroid day!

Available online :

At ISAE-SUPAERO, our space systems researchers are actively collaborating on the NASA - National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s DART and HERA planetary defense missions.

The DART mission is a first-of-its-kind mission to impact and deflect the path of the asteroid Dimorphos in space and the Hera mission will study, in a second phase, the detailed characteristics of the asteroid as well as the size and shape of the crater left by DART.

"At ISAE-SUPAERO, we are studying what will happen when these small probes land on the surface of the asteroid Dimorphos, and we are designing innovative instruments that will help to understand the birth & evolution of asteroids and planets" - Naomi Murdoch, researcher-engineer on space instrumentation.

Naomi Murdoch is going live today during the Asteroid Day LIVE 2022 from 11:00 CET to speak about research into asteroids and planetary defense! Do not miss the show 👉 https://swll.to/cS1SM 🚀
