Welcome to ENAC which officially joins the Groupe ISAE! 🎉
On the occasion of its 10th anniversary, the Groupe ISAE, which brings together ISAE-SUPAERO (one of the world leader aerospace engineering schools in higher education), ISAE-ENSMA, ISAE-SUPMECA, ESTACA and the École de l’Air et de l’Espace, has officially welcomed the Ecole Nationale de l’Aviation Civile as an associate school!
With its global knowledge of the "air transport" ecosystem, the integration of ENAC allows the Groupe ISAE to cover the entire spectrum of the aeronautical sector. Indeed, through its vocation to federate French schools in the field of aeronautical and space engineering, the Groupe ISAE aims to better respond to the challenges of transformation in the aviation and higher education sectors.
"We are very pleased to welcome ENAC to the Groupe ISAE. It is a school of aeronautics entirely dedicated to this sector, which is developing very strong links with industrial and institutional players that complement those of the Groupe ISAE, and enjoys excellent international recognition. The school has a natural place within the Group," adds Olivier Lesbre, President of the ISAE Group and Director General of ISAE-SUPAERO.
Training new generations of engineers to meet the challenges of the ecological transition in the aerospace sector is a fundamental challenge for the Groupe ISAE’s six schools. To this end, they have developed a shared approach based on four key points: thinking in terms of product life cycles, thinking in terms of global ecosystems, developing a spirit of creativity, and communicating in a responsible manner.
"We know each other better and better, and we have strong complementarities with the Groupe ISAE’s schools, which promises numerous synergies to be developed within the Groupe ISAE. In the end, membership is a logical next step in this process of rapprochement, and one that is eagerly awaited by the French aeronautics industry. In addition to the research and training projects that already link us, we believe that the current transformations in the aviation sector and in higher education, and in particular the crucial issue of sustainable development, require a joint response," said Olivier Chansou, Director General of ENAC
Despite the impact of the health crisis on the aeronautics sector, young people have not given up dreaming of aeronautics and space, and more than half of the young engineers hired by companies in the aerospace sector come from the Groupe ISAE’s schools! The Groupe ISAE thus offers aerospace manufacturers a range of high-level scientific and technical graduates that is unique in Europe.
