What is your background?
After completing my scientific high-school degree in the Lyon region, I entered ESTACA (aeronautical engineering school) as en engineering student. After graduating, I went on to study for the TAS AERO FTE Advanced Master at ISAE-SUPAERO.
Why did you join the TAS AERO FTE Advanced Master?
I’ve always been attracted to the world of testing, so I decided to apply for the Advanced Master TAS AERO, Flight Test Engineering (FTE) option with the aim of discovering the world of testing both theoretically and practically, thanks to a number of flights during the course.
In your opinion, what are the strengths of this program?

Being able to take to the skies to apply the theory I’ve learned on the ground is one of the very positive aspects of the advanced master’s program. From my point of view, there’s nothing better than putting into practice the theoretical concepts covered during the year.
What’s more, thanks to the advanced master’s degree, you get to see the whole chain (V-cycle) from design to certification, including flight preparation, production and finally data processing and test report writing. One of the great assets of this master’s program is the diversity of the contributions made by people from industry in a wide range of fields.
Could you please tell us more about the FTE Major ? How did it help in your career, to get your current position?
Discovering how to prepare, carry out and analyze test flights, as well as learning certain test techniques, gave me my first taste of the world of flight testing. The global vision of the testing world provided by the master’s degree also helps me gain credibility in job interviews.
What are your next career objectives?
For the past year and a half, I’ve been LFTE (Lead Flight Test Engineer) at DGA Essais en Vol in Cazaux in the Embedded Weapons Systems department. I’m looking forward to continuing my activities, particularly on armed helicopters, given my recent appointment to this position!
