Several companies joined forces with ISAE-SUPAERO at the start of this year. They are not only in the aeronautics and space sector – more and more companies outside Aerospace have understood the interest of cooperating with the school to make contact with our engineers who are now trained in many technologies that can be applied to all business sectors.

Actia, Continental, Collins Aerospace and Parrot recently signed partnership agreements with the Institute. Despite the fragile economic outlook, these companies understand the importance today of having cooperation with the engineers of tomorrow to ensure their economic growth. “Surrounding ourselves with the best profiles” is one of the main reasons behind these close relationships between businesses and higher education.

Actia

actia

Actia initiated a partnership with ISAE-SUPAERO this year to develop cooperation with a worldwide reference in education and research in the aeronautics and space fields, notably for related autonomous, embedded systems – Actia’s core business.

The Group has a wide-ranging scope of applications that contribute added value: connectivity, man/system interfaces, electrification, and connected diagnostic systems. These fields are sources of cross-cutting innovation for the automobile and aviation fields. The two institutions have shared values that are based on their local roots with an international dimension.

Actia will first offer opportunities for internships and work-study programs in systems engineering, electronics and embedded software, and will reinforce its relations with students with a view to integrating new skills to build the world of tomorrow.

"Join Actia and together we can Innovate for the Future!"

Continental

Continental

This partnership has helped Continental to strengthen its ties with ISAE-SUPAERO so that they could join forces in the fields of engineering and research. Continental’s priority research fields overlap with those at ISAE-SUPAERO, notably in electronics, embedded software, networks and telecommunications, etc.
For Continental, there is a need to break down the walls between the academic world and the business world for a better understanding of our professions, projects and technologies.
Continental seeks to take up the challenges facing the mobility of the future and needs to create a talent pool adapted to a demanding industry that is changing, and therefore to attract the best talents. The Group’s teams will do their best to make sure this partnership is a success.

Collins Aerospace

Collins

For Collins Aerospace, this partnership will be useful for growth: “ISAE-SUPAERO encourages varied backgrounds and trains a wide variety of academic profiles, totally in line with our need to diversify our hires. We believe that diversity is a key element in our capacity to innovate.”

The diversity of the profiles of the engineers trained (studies, options, internships, origins, etc.) comprises a real advantage for the company because, to attract talent, we need to be representative of society as a whole and diversity is key to being able to re-evaluate ourselves and to innovate.

With this cooperation, Collins Aerospace hopes to meet and recruit varied profiles, adaptable applicants who are open, curious and humble, people who know how to formulate an opinion that is different from what the rest of the group thinks, even if they are more experienced.

Parrot

Parrot

“When I completed my end-of-studies internship at Parrot, I had the opportunity to get hired on a permanent contract. I chose the company for the diversity of its technical skills, for its dynamism and to learn more about drone development, which I think is a sector of the future.” Emeline Valette, recent ISAE SUPAERO graduate hired in November 2020.

Parrot, the European leader in the drone industry, is now an ISAE-SUPAERO partner.
Parrot is pursuing its strategic professional shift, confirming its status as an innovative, formative company by taking on the most innovative, skilled profiles on the labor market.
With one person working on a CIFFRE thesis, 2 hires on permanent contracts and 3 recruits for end-of-study internships in 2020, the Group now hopes that, thanks to this new partnership, it will be able to open up more opportunities for excellence in training for profiles like Emeline’s.
Parrot is concerned with the challenges of innovation and technologies, and supports the MDRS association at ISAE-SUPAERO. It will also be present at the Village Entreprises to be held virtually next December.
