ISAE-SUPAERO organizes the second workshop of the GNC V&V inter-agency working group from July 7 to 10, 2025
Available online :
The second GNC V&V inter-agency workshop will take place from July 7 to 10, 2025 on the ISAE-SUPAERO campus.
This workshop is aimed at PhD students, research experts, industry practitioners and space agency experts from multidisciplinary backgrounds.
The call for technical abstracts is open: https://events.isae-supaero.fr/event/38/overview.
The CNG V&V Inter-agency Working Group
The CNG V&V Inter-agency Working Group is an informal group comprising representatives from the European Space Agency (ESA), the Centre national d’études spatiales (CNES), the German Aerospace Center (DLR), the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), the French Aerospace Laboratory (ONERA), the Italian Space Agency (ASI), and the ISAE-SUPAERO.
The working group focuses on exploring solutions to improve the collective capabilities of space agencies and their industrial partners to perform efficient CNG V&V on modern algorithms for space systems.
Its members recognize that the V&V process is a major cost factor in the development of CNG systems for space missions, and seek to identify the new CNG V&V technologies, approaches, methodologies, tools, and processes needed to cope with the complex CNG systems of the future.
Their thinking is organized around a fundamental question: “Will the CNG engineering community of practice be sufficiently prepared to perform the necessary checks and balances on evolving CNG architectures and algorithms that are governed by stringent requirements for autonomy, resilience, reconfigurability, adaptability and balance between mission costs and benefits?”.
The workshop
The second GNC V&V inter-agency workshop will take place from 7 to 10 July 2025 on the ISAE-SUPAERO campus.
As of now, researchers, and practitioners who share a common interest in this important aspect of training the next generation of CNG engineers are invited to submit a technical abstract for presentation at the workshop.
A practical course on modeling and verification of dynamic systems will also be held on July 7 and 8. The workshop will be structured mainly around short presentations designed to stimulate discussion, as well as more interactive exercises (e.g. round tables, small group sessions interspersed with plenary sessions, etc.).
