Spotlight on the cooperation between the Institute and these consulting firms.
Consulting, what is it? For whom? For what?
Consulting is the art of inspiring customers to apply good practices to help them transform their organization and become more flexible.
Consultants always work in teams, providing answers to the complex problems facing companies: executing their strategy, steering their performances, optimizing their professional processes and making the right decisions at the right time.
Consulting involves sectoral skills (notably Aeronautics, Defense and Space, but also in the Public Sector, Agribusiness, etc.) and various professions that work together in a shared approach. This multidisciplinary experience enables them to intervene for all kinds of missions, whatever the size of the company, the sector or the challenge.
An alliance that has proved to be a success
For EY, an ISAE-SUPAERO partner and a major financial auditing and consulting firm, it seemed quite natural to work with the school as there are many common features and mutual contributions. From a sectoral point of view first of all, as EY is a major player in consulting and finance in the aeronautics sector. The firm notably works with major names in the market such as Airbus, Safran and Thalès, but also with the entire subcontracting chain. This partnership enables EY to keep flexible, open to new dynamics and to discovering inspiring student profiles.
“Many actions have been undertaken to make this alliance work smoothly; it is based on a relationship of trust and proximity. EY thus intervenes with students to help them in their orientations and to prepare them to become effective operational professionals. Furthermore, EY assists the school’s administration on specific subjects for which we contribute our expertise,” explained Jean-Baptiste Bouhier, associate in charge of audits and consulting at the EY offices in Toulouse.
Young engineers and consulting
The consulting world has a large volume and a wide diversity of projects that young engineers are interested in.
For our partner SOPRA-STERIA, information technology consulting firms have notably become aware of their past shortcomings concerning company culture and a spirit of belonging. This type of company now offers an attractive work environment with values that young engineers can relate to and that let them grow. The company describes itself as such: “SOPRA-STERIA is a space of freedom and exchanges, a stimulating collective endeavor that is conducive to developing skills and entrepreneurship in a community motivated by the desire to succeed together.”
PwC, a solid, efficient partnership
