Call for entries: Jean-Jacques and Félicia Lopez-Loreta Foundation Award

Each year, Fondation Jean-Jacques et Félicia Lopez-Loreta encourages students from four public institutions of higher education in Europe to carry out highly promising, innovative academic research projects that may include an entrepreneurial aspect.

Fondation Jean-Jacques et Félicia Lopez-Loreta’s aim is to present a 1-million euro prize to one winner from each school.

The four European Institutions of Higher Education are:

  • ISAE-SUPAERO
  • ETH Zürich,
  • École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne,
  • École Polytechnique Paris-Saclay.

An ISAE-SUPAERO graduate won each of the prizes for 2018, 2019 and 2021.

CONDITIONS FOR APPLYING AT ISAE-SUPAERO

  • An ISAE-SUPAERO diploma dating from less than 2 years prior to June 30th, 2021.
  • Applications are personal and must be sent to: abdelhake.bouchou at isae-supaero.fr before October 8th, 2021.
  • The applications transmitted in PDF format must include a free-form description and present the candidate’s personality and references along with their scientific and/or entrepreneurial project (maximum 8 pages per project). It can be written in French or in English, but if it is in English a French translation must be attached. The Candidate’s résumé (maximum 2 pages), a copy of their diplomas and their contact information are also required.

CALENDAR

  • July 1st, 2021: official launch of the 2021-2022 campaign
  • October 8th, 2021: deadline for submitting applications to ISAE-SUPAERO
  • November 10th, 2021: the applications preselected by ISAE-SUPAERO are sent to Fondation Jean-Jacques et Félicia Lopez-Loreta
  • December 15th, 2021: Fondation Jean-Jacques et Félicia Lopez-Loreta announces which applications have been accepted
  • January 1st to March 10th, 2022: maturation and finalization of the applications shortlisted by Fondation Jean-Jacques et Félicia Lopez-Loreta, with support from the ISAE-SUPAERO Foundation and the ISAE SUPAERO ENSICA Alumni association
  • Interviews with the shortlisted candidates: no later than May 31st, 2022
  • Decision by the Foundation Council: no later than June 30th, 2021

The Council reserves the right to revise this schedule depending on developments in the health crisis.
