HIS BACKGROUND

I come from the defense industry, particularly focused on the navy industry, where I worked for 4 years. Transitioning into the SPAPS Advanced Master at ISAE-SUPAERO was a pivotal move for me. From this program, I gained a good understanding of satellite systems and their applications in earth observations and telecommunications, particularly in the context of the environment and the defense industry.

2023-2024: Space Applications and Services (SPAPS) Advanced Master, ISAE-SUPAERO

2020-2023: SONAR System & R&D Engineer, Naval Group

2014-2019: Graduated from Université de Technologie de Compiègne (UTC) in Mechanical Engineering (Acoustic & Signal Processing)

WHAT MADE YOU DECIDE TO STUDY AN ADVANCED MASTER AT ISAE-SUPAERO?

The decision to pursue an Advanced Master comes from a desire to gain specialized expertise and practical knowledges. This program not only provided me theoretical insights but also equipped me with the tools and mindset necessary for real-world applications in specific field of space application and services. The renowned excellence of the school in the space industry was the decisive factor that led me to embark on this enriching new adventure.

WHAT DID THE ADVANCED MASTER BRING YOU?

The Advanced Master was a game-changer for me. It has not only given me strong technical awareness in satellite systems, remote sensing, and telecommunications, but also allowed me to cultivate an expansive network of professionals in the space industry and to train with experts. For example, we have had the opportunity to closely collaborate with Airbus on an Earth Observation Project or to work with a great teacher on a telecommunications project inspired by the Starlink constellation. After the course part of this program, I acquired the spectrum of skills necessary in telecommunications to pursue an internship at Thales on space antennas. This experience aligns perfectly with my specialized professional aspirations for the future and resonates with my personality.

HOW IS STUDENT LIFE ON THE CAMPUS AND IN TOULOUSE?

Student life at ISAE-SUPAERO is great. The campus cultivates a collaborative and innovative atmosphere, promoting interaction and exploration. For instance, I engaged in an international Hackathon named DefinSpace, endorsed by the campus, focusing on Space applications and Services. During this event I met a great team. The practical knowledge gained from my Advanced Master’s program enabled me to reach the international final in Paris, where we presented our ideas in front of the French Space Command against an inspiring Italian Team. I highly encourage future students to take part in this event in the upcoming years because it offers opportunities for growth and development. You will just have to not sleep for 24h and work hard, but the rewards are truly worth it.
