ISAE-SUPAERO doubles its employment rate of people with disabilities in five years

On Tuesday, November 4, the Institut Supérieur de l’Aéronautique et de l’Espace renewed its agreement with the Fund for the Integration of People with Disabilities in the Public Service, a partnership that has existed for four years.

COMETES: A Programme in New Skills For the Future of Space

Official launch of the COMETES (COmpétences et MEtiers pour l’ESpace) project to educate 11,000 students over five years, create a dozen initial and continuing education programmes, and raise awareness of space issues among 300,000 people.

ENSTA and ISAE-SUPAERO to open a new “Defense & Security” engineering programme in the 2026 academic year

ENSTA and ISAE-SUPAERO will launch in 2026 a joint “Defense & Security” engineering program, designed with the defense industrial base (BITD) and the French Defence Procurement Agency (DGA) to meet growing needs in technological sovereignty. This high-level programme will train around one hundred civilian and military engineers each year, capable of designing, managing, and innovating within the strategic sectors of defense, security, and advanced technologies.

Allergenius, the App That Makes Life Easier For Allergy Sufferers, Continues to Grow

Created by two students, Antoine Barberin (ISAE-SUPAERO) and Lazare Bonifay (EM-Lyon / Université Panthéon-Sorbonne), the mobile application Allergenius is transforming the daily lives of people with allergies or intolerances.

ExoMars mission – ISAE-SUPAERO Selected by ESA and CNES to Develop a New Mars Microphone

Our Institute will develop a unique piece of equipment called PACIS, designed to measure sound as well as pressure and temperature during the critical entry, descent and landing phases of the ExoMars probe.

The University of Doha (UDST), AIRBUS, ENAC, ISAE-SUPAERO, and Qatar Airways sign an agreement to promote education and innovation in the aeronautical sector in Qatar.

The historic memorandum of understanding with four leading aeronautics entities supports a dynamic of progress in aeronautics education and research, as well as partnerships between industry and academia in Qatar.

ISAE-SUPAERO and GIFAS Launch a Programme to Accelerate the Decarbonisation of the Aviation Industry

Titled ‘Decarbonisation of the Air Transportation Industry for Players in the Sector,’ this one-day programme aims to give professionals the keys to understanding the issues, the levers for action, and the prospective scenarios for the decarbonisation of aviation.

“Following in the footsteps of astronaut Sophie Adenot: six students isolate themselves in the desert to simulate life on Mars.”

From February 15 to March 14, 2026, the crew will live in complete autonomy in an 8-meter-diameter habitat. Outings only in space suits, delayed communications with Earth, limited resources: everything is designed to replicate the constraints of a real Mars mission.

‘Landing on Mars’ on February 16th for ISAE-SUPAERO’s New Martian Life Simulation

Seven students take part in the unique adventure of simulating life on Mars. The astronauts are headed for the MDRS scientific station in the Utah desert of the United States.

A new simulation of Martian life for ISAE-SUPAERO

Seven students from ISAE-SUPAERO have been selected to join the Mars Desert Research Station in the Utah desert in the United States. The crew will experience a simulation of Martian life from 18 February to 16 March 2024.

An Illustrated History of our School

Hisis will enable you to follow the many transformations that the ISAE-SUPAERO engineering school has undergone. ISAE-SUPAERO was created in October 2007 from the merger of two engineering schools in Toulouse, the École Nationale Supérieure d'Ingénieurs de Constructions Aéronautiques (ENSICA) and the École Nationale Supérieure de l'Aéronautique et de l'Espace (SUPAERO), both under the supervision of the French Ministry of Defence.

Ranking joint 7th in the DAUR rankings, ISAE-SUPAERO has moved up two places since last year. DAUR, an independent platform, publishes annual rankings of 185 French engineering schools based on relevant criteria and using a robust methodology.

Academic excellence: ISAE-SUPAERO ranked 4th by L’Étudiant!

On 9 February, L’Étudiant published its 2023 ranking of engineering schools, which includes 169 schools. Based on academic excellence, with 28 points out of 30, the Institute ranked fourth, behind Mines Paris Tech in first place, and Ecole Polytechnique and ESPCI, which tied for second place.
