France is stepping up its space ambitions. At the Choose France summit, the President of the Republic announced that French astronauts Thomas Pesquet and Arnaud Prost will take part in two commercial space missions in 2027, as part of an agreement between France and the American company Vast.

On May 19, 2026, ISAE-SUPAERO and its partners at the Defense Space Academy hosted and organized a day of discussions focused on France’s National Space Strategy. Bringing together government decision-makers, industry representatives, researchers, and military officials, this event provided an opportunity to pool expertise and foster collective reflection on the major challenges of sovereignty, training, and strategic autonomy in the space sector.

Researchers from ISAE-SUPAERO and their partners have received the Outstanding Conference Paper Award at the IEEE (Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers) Nuclear and Space Radiation Effects Conference 2025 (NSREC) in Nashville, Tenessee, the most important international conference dedicated to radiation effects in electronic systems for space and nuclear applications.

On Tuesday, April 14, ISAE-SUPAERO had the honor of welcoming IGCEA Alexandre Lahousse, General Engineer of the Armaments Directorate (DGA) in the exceptional class and Deputy Director General of the DGA, and a Supaero alumnus from the class of 2000.

At ISAE-SUPAERO, talented students continue to distinguish themselves, both in the academic world and in the realm of innovation: a look back at the Amelia Earhart Award won by Elena Lopez-Contreras, a doctoral student at the Neuroergonomics Center, and at the French final of the ActInSpace hackathon, won by her team Solete for their Satell-EYE project.

On March 24, 2026, ISAE-SUPAERO hosted the Future Intelligence Forum, an event dedicated to artificial intelligence applied to the defense, security, and resilience sectors. Public policymakers, experts, researchers, industry leaders, and innovators gathered to share their vision and collectively shape the future of AI in the public interest.

From November 2024 to November 2025, ISAE-SUPAERO participated in the second edition of the CUBE État competition. This national challenge pits government buildings against one another with a noble goal: to achieve maximum energy savings by focusing solely on adjustments and usage patterns.

The ISAE Group has taken a new step forward by welcoming ENSPIMA (École Nationale Supérieure pour la Performance Industrielle et la Maintenance Aéronautique) as a partner school. This integration, formalised by the signing of an agreement on 11 February 2026 between Loïc Lavigne, President of ENSPIMA, and Marie-Hélène Baroux, President of ISAE-SUPAERO, strengthens the group's expertise in the strategic field of civil and military aircraft maintenance.
