Our Consultative Bodies

Our training council relies on the advice of our development councils for engineering training cycles and associated complementary training, as well as for international masters training cycles and Advanced Masters programmes.

For other training programmes (initial, continuing, apprenticeship, etc.) to which our Institute contributes without being solely responsible, our ISAE-SUPAERO Training Board relies as necessary on the opinions of the professional development councils or similar bodies set up by the accrediting institution, or jointly by the partners in the programme concerned.

Our Development Boards are chaired by the Director of Training or his/her representative.

Each development committee is led by the programme head for the course for which he or she is responsible.

Our Development Councils are convened by the Chairman as often as required for the smooth running of the Institute, and at least once a year.

In addition to the Institute staff responsible for the academic management of the various courses concerned, their membership includes:

  • qualified personalities representing industry, academia and international circles, appointed by the Director General on the recommendation of the Director of Training ;
  • student delegates representing the various classes and categories of students, appointed by the students themselves.

Our councils are not elected and do not take formal votes. Their work, the advice they receive and any recommendations they make are set out in minutes drawn up under the responsibility of the Chair and approved at the following meeting. They are reported to the Education Council.

Each Development Committee, for the courses within its remit, gives its opinion in particular on :

  • changes to teaching programmes, the range of courses on offer and the possibilities for career paths ;
  • proposed changes to tuition regulations, where applicable;
  • academic partnerships and exchange agreements (with or without qualifications) relating to a course of study.

It examines the reports and recommendations resulting from audits and from the processes of authorisation, accreditation or awarding of labels (CTI, HCERES, CGE, etc.) and is consulted on the proposed follow-up.

Our Innovation Council is a non-statutory, consultative body. The Innovation Council is a forum for exchange and forward thinking, partly made up of outside figures in the field of innovation. Its purpose is to inform and guide the Institute's actions in this area.

Our Innovation Council has 21 members.
