ISAE Group

Last Updated On

Created in 2011, the ISAE Group now brings together all the leading engineering schools in the Aeronautics, Space and Defence sector. It represents a scientific and educational community that shares the values of excellence, openness and innovation. Every year, the ISAE Group's schools train almost half of the young engineers hired by companies and institutions in the sector.

A scientific and educational community with shared values of excellence, openness and innovation

The ISAE Group brings together schools in the field ofaeronautical and spaceengineering under a common banner in order to increase the influence of these schools, both nationally andinternationally, and to promote training for engineers, masters, Advanced Masters and doctorates in the fields of aeronautics and space.

The ISAE Group thus offers manufacturers and institutions in the aeronautics and space sector a range of high-level scientific and technical graduates that is unique in Europe.

Members of the ISAE Group

The ISAE Group’s schools are present in France in all the major aeronautical and space regions:

  • ISAE- SUPAERO (Occitanie-Toulouse),
  • ENAC (Occitanie-Toulouse),
  • ISAE-ENSMA (New Aquitaine – Poitiers),
  • ISAE-SUPMECA (Ile-de-France),
  • ESTACA (Ile-de-France – Saint-Quentin-en-Yvelines + Pays de la Loire – Laval + New Aquitaine – Bordeaux),
  • École de l’Air et de l’Espace (Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur – Salon de Provence).

The ISAE Group also has a special relationship with 3 partner schools:

The objectives of the ISAE Group

3 main objectives

Meet the needs of manufacturers and institutions in the civil and defence aerospace sector for multidisciplinary engineers of a high scientific level

  • Train graduate engineers with profiles that cover a wide range of employer needs.
  • Recruit our students in a variety of ways and at complementary levels (post-baccalaureate, post-prepa, competitive entrance exam, qualifications).
  • To work with industrialists and institutions to reflect on the future of the aerospace sector.

Establish itself as a quality label for training and research in the aerospace field

  • Eligibility criteria for membership in terms of education, research, and international and social outreach.
  • Shared values of excellence, openness and innovation.

Creating a melting pot for the development of joint projects

  • Fruitful collaborations in the field of training.
  • An opportunity for all students to acquire complementary knowledge and skills.
  • In-depth reflection on research and innovation projects.

With the support of GIFAS

Since 2015, the Groupement des Industries Françaises Aéronautiques et Spatiales (GIFAS), has supported the development of the ISAE Group with the following objectives:

  • develop high-level academic and professional education in Europe in the fields of aerospace systems,
  • to support research
  • encourage social inclusion and promote careers in this innovative sector among young people.

In order to meet the major challenges and technological breakthroughs expected in the aerospace sector over the next few years (safer, more efficient, ‘smarter’ and more environmentally-friendly equipment), the partnership agreement signed by the two parties places the skills of future engineers at the heart of its priorities.
