SOCIAL OPENING SCHEME FOR STUDENTS (OSE INGÉ): THE NEW SOCIAL OPENING SCHEME FOR STUDENTS

The goal is to open up the Grandes Ecoles and the professional world to these students and thereby offer them motivating professional perspectives through mentoring from working engineers who are former students of ISAE-SUPAERO.

This scheme first started in 2022 and came about through:

• Collaboration between the teaching teams from three Toulouse lycées: Lycée Bellevue, Lycée Déodat de Séverac and Lycée Pierre de Fermat,
• Mobilizing ISAE-SUPAERO’s former students,
• Support from our partners: the Occitanie Regional Council, Airbus, Elior and the Toulouse CREPS.

THE PROGRAM

TAILORED MENTORING

The student benefits from personalized and individual support from a former student mentor, depending on his/her availability and needs. Students are supported right up to the time of the examinations by a former student of ISAE-SUPAERO who draws on his/her experience to provide support and answers to any questions the student has and guides them in the decisions they have to make.
The scheme provides training to mentors on how to best help preparatory school students.

IMMERSION COURSES AT ISAE-SUPAERO

These courses are an opportunity for the students to discover the campus of a Grande École, to talk with former preparatory school students and professionals with inspiring careers, to meet their mentor, consolidate their knowledge and learn how to better manage the years spent in preparatory school.

Two immersion courses in the 1st year:

An immersion during the autumn holidays given over to:

• Group cohesion
• Getting to know the mentor
• Visiting the Institute
• Meeting other students
• Reflecting on academic and professional projects
• Personal development workshops

An immersion during the spring holidays given over to:

• Choosing personal supervised work subjects
• Consolidating skills in non-scientific subjects
• Working on oral skills

An immersion internship in the 2nd year of preparatory school enables students:

• to thoroughly prepare for the oral examinations
• to finalize personal supervised work
• to participate in roundtable discussions with all mentors
• Consolidating skills in non-scientific subjects

• Guidance evening
• Testimonials from inspiring professionals

• Meal and evening debate
• Training for preparatory school teachers to support vulnerable students

THE STUDENTS CONCERNED

Students targeted: scholarship girls and students preparing for the examinations for admission to the Grandes Ecoles.

Three partner institutions in 2022-2023: Lycée Bellevue / Lycée Déodat de Séverac / Lycée Pierre de Fermat

42 students in the scheme in 2022-2023: 37 scholarship students; 34 girls and 8 boys
Possible deployment of the scheme throughout the Occitanie region, particularly in the preparatory schools in the medium-sized University Cities outside Toulouse and Montpellier.

Nous sommes convaincus de l’importance d’accompagner les jeunes dans leur orientation et leur projet professionnel pour former et recruter nos futurs talents. Nous nous investissons pour inciter les jeunes à découvrir les métiers de la restauration collective mais aussi de permettre à tous les jeunes apprenants d’accéder de façon égalitaire à l’enseignement supérieur. Ce partenariat s’inscrit dans la continuité des actions que nous menons déjà à Toulouse Métropole : Découverte de nos métiers par l’accueil d’élève de 3ème, par l’apprentissage et par les échanges avec les étudiants d’ISAE SUPAERO, Animation d’un comité mixité en local avec pour objectif de favoriser l’égalité professionnelle, Réunions d’information visant à lutter contre toutes les formes de discriminations Chaque année, Elior forme 500 apprentis, accueil plus de 100 stagiaires de 3ème et intervient dans plus 100 écoles afin de présenter ses métiers.
