Why Enroll in the TAS AERO Advanced Master?

Are you a professional or a student who would like to work on multidisciplinary projects in the field of aeronautics using a practical approach?

Our Programme is for You!

Whether you are a recent graduate or an experienced professional, our programme is for you. The Advanced Master Aeronautical Engineering - TAS AERO, accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles under no. 50, is a course in aeronautics that develops an integrated approach to the design of the aircraft product.

The TAS AERO AM is dedicated to aeronautical engineering and human factors. It enables students to develop a high level of expertise in engineering sciences, human factors, current aeronautical technologies, design, and flight test engineering.

The programme is comprised of a core curriculum and one of the following specialisations:
  • Aircraft Design (TAS AERO - ADE)
  • Flight Test Engineering (TAS AERO - FTE)

Scott Delbecq & Florent Lutz

The main strength of the programme lies in the wide range of lecturers from universities, research institutes, and industry who are at the cutting edge of their field. This gives you a wide range of perspectives and views on careers in aircraft design and flight testing. You'll also have the chance to study in Toulouse, at the heart of Europe's aeronautics ecosystem!

The TAS AERO Advanced Master in Brief

A Core Curriculum and Two Specialisations

  • ADE - Aircraft Design

This option allows students to deepen their knowledge of the sciences taught in the core curriculum and illustrates, through a multidisciplinary project, the strong links that exist between them during the aircraft design phase.

  • FTE - Flight Test Engineering

This option provides an introduction to flight test methods, but does not lead directly to an aircrew qualification.
However, after a few years working for a manufacturer or government test centre, some of our graduates may be selected for training as experimental test pilots or flight test engineers.

Corporate Experience

In addition to the 6-month course at ISAE-SUPAERO, students must complete a 4-6 month professional thesis or an internship:

  • With a company in the aerospace industry,
  • In France or abroad, supervised by the host organisation and ISAE-SUPAERO.

The thesis culminates in the submission of a report and an oral dissertation to a jury.

Promising Career Prospects

Over 1100 students from 55 countries have completed this programme over the last 30 years and are now working as:
