Why Enroll in the IEVEX Advanced Master?

Would you like to become an experienced pilot or engineer selected by EPNER to prepare, execute, and analyse flight tests, equipment, and systems in suspension?

Our Programme is for You!

Our programme is for you: The Advanced Master Experimental in Flight Test Engineering - IEVEX, accredited by the Conférence des Grandes Écoles under n°653, trains experienced pilots and engineers selected by EPNER to prepare, execute, and analyse flight tests, equipment, and systems in suspension.

Under the auspices of the DGA, ISAE-SUPAERO and EPNER have pooled their expertise to create the first master's degree in Flight Test Engineering for pilots and engineers, generating synergies thanks to their recognized skills in aerospace education.

The IEVEX Advanced Master in Brief

Close Collaboration

The IEVEX AM in Experimental Flight Test Engineering is a 12-month course organised by ISAE-SUPAERO and EPNER that aims to provide government organisations and aircraft manufacturers with highly qualified flight test pilots and engineers.

Recognising the need for flight test programmes to be conducted in close coordination between pilots and engineers, the original spirit of this programme is to prepare pilots and engineers to work in integrated teams.

Combining Theory and Practice

The aim of the programme is to develop the theoretical and applied skills of experienced pilots and engineers to prepare, implement, and report on flight tests, whether of aircraft or complex on-board systems, in the safest possible conditions.
Upon graduation, these qualified professionals will be able to take part in the civil certification of new or modified aircraft in aircraft or equipment development programmes and in military acceptance programmes for both fixed- and rotary-wing aircraft.

Promising Career Prospects

The IEVEX AM leads to positions as:

🚀 Responsible engineer for flight test implementation or for extending the flight envelope of aircraft or on-board systems, in close collaboration with design and development projects

📊 Flight test centre managers

Programme Objectives

The IEVEX Advanced Master will enable you to:

  • Develop the theoretical and applied skills needed to prepare, implement, and report on flight tests, either for aircraft or for complex on-board systems, in the safest possible conditions.
  • Take part  in the civil certification of new or modified aircraft in aircraft or equipment development programmes and in military acceptance programmes for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft.

Programme Advantages

Cutting-Edge Expertise

Under the aegis of the DGA,ISAE-SUPAERO and EPNER have pooled their expertise to create the first Master's degree in Flight Test Engineering for pilots and engineers, thanks to their recognised skills in aerospace education.

A Variety of Practical Courses

The IEVEX AM programme includes 110 flight hours on 20 different aircraft and 15 helicopters.

An International Outlook

The IEVEX AM offers French courses focusing on aeronautical vocabulary so that students are well-equipped for the EPNER training programme.
