3 questions to... Loïc Jecker, S-Cube member from 2011 to 2013
Available online :
Why did you join the S-Cube?
“Quite simply, I wanted to get involved in a technical club. The first year, I worked on an electronic pressure measurement board. The idea was to place the measurement cards as close as possible to the pressure taps to reduce the length of the tubes and thus achieve greater precision. In the second year, I was club treasurer and responsible for the SERA rocket, the first supersonic rocket launched by the club.”
What highlights will you take away from this experience?
“The launches, of course, but above all the pre-launch rush! Overall, it was a very rich experience both technically and humanly. For example, it was necessary to optimize communication between the various players, even though we had no training in this area.”
What have these years at S-Cube brought you?
“It was thanks to the contacts I made at S-Cube that I landed my internship at Safran (Heracles), and also thanks to the club and this internship that I was able to get support for my Cifre thesis application. This experience also enabled me to rub shoulders with space engineers and discover the sector, its opportunities and its difficulties.”
