Having a rich, fulfilling, and globally minded student life is part of ISAE-SUPAERO's DNA. To further enhance this experience, the Institute has now adopted a Student Life Master Plan (SDVE) for the period 2026-2031, a unique roadmap that embodies its strategic vision and supports its ambition: to offer an attractive, inclusive living environment that is conducive to the success of every student.

Four main themes

The result of a wide-ranging participatory process involving students, staff and partners, the SDVE is based on four main themes:

Living on a pleasant and inclusive campus
Enjoying student life in complete safety
Getting involved in school life by being supported and valued
Interacting with the ecosystem to better invest in the future

This plan marks a turning point in the way the Institut thinks about campus life, student life and community life: from now on, these dimensions will be built together, coordinated and aligned around common objectives. It strengthens existing initiatives, encourages synergies and guides new innovative projects to enhance attractiveness and well-being.

Supported by the General Management and the Deputy Management in charge of student life, the SDVE will form a long-term part of the next Objectives and Performance Contract (2027-2031). Based on an analysis of students’ experiences, studies carried out (including Happy@School) and signals from the ecosystem, it is intended to evolve regularly in order to remain as close as possible to expectations.

A strong commitment to social and environmental responsibility

This master plan is part of ISAE-SUPAERO’s commitment to society and the environment. It is a response to the various CSR initiatives undertaken in areas such as training, research, innovation and campus life.

In addition, the Institute applies a zero-tolerance policy to acts of harassment, discrimination and sexual and gender-based violence, with numerous initiatives to prevent and deal with such acts.

At the start of the 2025 academic year, ISAE-SUPAERO is welcoming nearly 882 new students from all disciplines!

ISAE-SUPAERO offers a range of courses designed to meet the major challenges facing our societies.

And there is no shortage of interest, as evidenced by the renewed attractiveness of its courses!

ISAE-SUPAERO’s training programmes ensure that young graduates find exceptional employment, in line with their expectations.

According to the Institute’s 2025 “First Job” survey, 70% of graduates from all courses find a job even before graduation, and 84% say they are “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with their first job.

The Aeronautics/Space/Defence (ASD) sector, buoyed by strong growth momentum and engaged in an exceptional period of transformation, attracted 77% of our young 2024 graduates, all courses combined.

Next came energy (4%) and finance/audit/insurance, followed by ecological transition (3%).

Marie-Hélène Baroux, Director General of ISAE-SUPAERO, emphasised the strategic importance of this partnership:

“This collaboration with the ITA and the institutions of São Paulo is an essential lever for developing innovative projects in key areas such as artificial intelligence applied to aeronautics, sustainability and new technologies. It offers our students and researchers invaluable opportunities to become fully involved in the challenges of tomorrow’s aerospace sector”.

This renewal brings with it a number of important commitments:

For students, it guarantees an expansion of exchange programmes, with a desire to further enrich exchanges between France and Brazil.
For researchers, it means greater openness to innovative collaborative projects, particularly in areas of the future such as artificial intelligence applied to aeronautics, environmental sustainability and new materials.
For ISAE-SUPAERO, it is an additional lever to strengthen its international attractiveness and confirm its major role in training engineers capable of meeting the challenges of the sector.

For more than twenty years, ISAE-SUPAERO and ITA have been developing joint programmes, in particular the BRAFITEC double degree, which enables students to acquire unique international and bicultural expertise. This renewal bears witness to the vitality and relevance of this cooperation in a global context marked by major technological and environmental challenges.

This cooperation is also part of a strong scientific dynamic between France and the State of São Paulo, with almost 10,000 joint publications in six years, demonstrating effective international synergy.

” Scientific and technological cooperation between the two regions is strong and growing. Over the last six years, French and Paulo researchers have jointly published 9,800 scientific articles, which represents 52% of all articles published as part of international collaborations during this period “, emphasised Marco Antonio Zago, President of the FAPESP.

The renewal of the agreements illustrates the strength of this transatlantic scientific cooperation, which continues to develop and diversify. It also testifies to the commitment and common vision shared by the participants in FAPESP Week France 2025, including Marco Antonio Zago, President of FAPESP, Marie-Hélène Baroux, Director General of ISAE-SUPAERO, Vahan Agopyan, Secretary for Science, Technology and Innovation of the State of São Paulo, and Odile Rauzy, Rector of Toulouse III – Paul Sabatier University, who summed up the challenge: ” Together, moving in the same direction, we will be stronger at a crucial time for science “.

As Polytechnique's application school for the general engineering curriculum, our Institute has expanded its educational offerings to include specialised engineering programmes as well as programmes open to international students.

In six years, our Institute has doubled its research activities, developing a resolutely interdisciplinary approach focused on major societal issues.

At ISAE-SUPAERO, our students are truly open to the world. Every year, more than 40% of our students come from abroad from around sixty different countries. Our international reputation is illustrated by the agreements we have signed with more than 100 prestigious universities around the world for exchange programmes, as well as by our collaborative research projects with laboratories and organizations abroad, including MIT, ESA, and NASA. This diversity creates a unique environment conducive to exchange and innovation, and prepares students for international careers in all strategic and innovative sectors.

We have the honour of counting many pioneering and innovative engineers among our 26,000 alumni, such as Henri Coanda, creator of the first jet plane, and Henri Lefebvre, designer of Citroën's 2 CV and DS cars. Some great leaders such as Marcel Dassault (founder of Dassault Aviation) or Henri Ziegler (CEO of Aérospatiale and founder of Airbus Industries) built European aeronautics, while others like Guillaume Faury (CEO of Airbus) are piloting it today. Our many young alumni astronauts (Thomas Pesquet, Luca Parmitano, Samantha Cristoforetti, Sophie Adenot, Arnaud Prost, and Anthea Comellini) keep the European space dream alive. Finally, we are proud to have educated the heads of young, fast-growing companies such as Romain Moulin of Exotec and Benoît Lemaignan of Verkor, our first two French industrial unicorns; Eloa Guillotin of Beyond Aero, working to develop the 1^st hydrogen-powered electric aircraft; and Fabien Apper of U-Space. Since 1968, ISAE-SUPAERO has been based in the heart of the European capital of aeronautics and space, the favourite city of French students between the Pyrenees, the Atlantic, and the Mediterranean. Our 19-hectare campus is a lively and welcoming place, with a student residence of around 1,000 rooms, a wide range of sports facilities, and around a hundred student, cultural, and technical clubs, encouraging an intense community life on site.

Our Institute also boasts cutting-edge, world-class research facilities, supporting academic and scientific excellence. "Commission des Titres d'Ingénieurs" (Engineering Qualifications Commission)

Our Institute is accredited by the CTI:

For our General Engineering course under student status: Ingénieur ISAE-SUPAERO;
For our Industrial Engineering speciality under apprentice status: Ingénieur ISAE-SUPAERO by apprenticeship.

The title of engineer accredited by the CTI (Commission des titres d’ingénieurs) is a guarantee that the programme will be of high quality and recognised by professionals.

The CTI is an independent body responsible for evaluating all French engineering schools (and foreign ones upon request) on their accreditation, developing the quality of education and promoting the title and profession of engineer in France and abroad.

Our General Engineering programme meets the quality criteria of the specific EUR-ACE® Framework Standards & Guidelines (EAFSG).
This label, which is also awarded by the CTI, gives ISAE-SUPAERO international recognition: engineering programmes with the EUR-ACE® label belong to schools that meet the highest standards. "Bienvenue en France" Label

Our School has been awarded the “Welcome to France” label at the three-star level, the highest possible. This label, awarded by Campus France, rewards the quality of the welcome given to international students.

It is awarded to French higher education establishments that have developed welcome procedures for international students. It attests to the quality and accessibility of information, welcome procedures, the range of programmes on offer, teaching support, accommodation, the quality of campus life and post-graduate follow-up.

Certification "Qualité Français Langue Étrangère"

Our Institute is now the first Grande École in Toulouse to be awarded the FLE label.

The aim of the label “Qualité Français Langue Étrangère” is to identify, recognise, and promote French as a Foreign Language centres whose linguistic courses and services offer guarantees of quality.

ISAE-SUPAERO has been awarded this label with three stars, the maximum possible, in the five areas of the reference system: education, teaching staff, reception, management, and premises and equipment. The label has a renewal period of four years.

This certification enables us to gain recognition for our expertise in teaching French as a foreign language and also to send a message to our international partners that, in addition to scientific excellence, we guarantee them high-quality teaching in French as a foreign language and a high-quality welcome.

SD&RS Label

The Institute has been awarded the “Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility” (SD&CSR) label, official recognition of its environmental and corporate social responsibility strategy.

This distinction crowns several years of structuring initiatives in sustainable development and social responsibility.

The label, which has many levels of maturity, assesses the institution’s approach in five main areas: governance, education, research, environmental management, and social policy. This systemic analysis framework covers all 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) defined by the UN.

The 6th Most Chosen School By Preparatory Class Students According to Génération Prépa (2023-2024)

ISAE-SUPAERO is ranked at least 6^th across all tracks, placing 4^th in the PSI track and 6^th in the MP track in the Génération Prépa 2023-2024 ranking of the most chosen schools by undergraduates. The Génération Prépa website is run by students from the Grandes Écoles and is aimed at students in the preparatory classes. Its rankings are based on data provided by the Service du Concours Ecoles d'Ingénieurs (SCEI) using 5 indicators: the competition in which the school is ranked, its average rank, the number of entrants, the number of places, and the number of students who have entered the school.

ISAE-SUPAERO is ranked 5^th in Figaro Étudiant's 2025 ranking of post-prépa engineering schools. Every year, Figaro Étudiant publishes its ranking of the best French post-prépa engineering schools. The characteristics and performances of 87 schools accessible after two years of preparatory classes are studied through various indicators grouped into three categories: academic, international, and employment. With a score of 16.5, our School has moved up 3 places compared to the 2024 ranking (8^th).

7th in the Ranking of Engineering Schools According to Data Analysis for University Rankings (DAUR) (2024)

This ranking is the result of a study carried out on 185 engineering schools, with a particular focus on student engineering degrees. Classified according to five harmonised criteria depending on the output sectors and the size of the establishment, the data used for each school comes mainly from SCEI statistics, Parcoursup, the CTI's annual certification campaign, and the CDEFI's professional integration survey. With a final score of 73, ISAE-SUPAERO came 7^th out of the 185 schools ranked.
